Granada

My second to last trip outside of Madrid was to Granada. Granada is in the south of Spain, about 6 hours away. We took a night bus there, and arrived there bright and early at 0700 hours!

Granada was really pretty. VERY hilly. We decided to find the Cuevas de Sacramonte, and we came across a museum dedicated to showing the lives of the people who once inhabited them. Their way of life was very sophisticated. I'd kick it in the caves to this day. Well I suppose the only thing holding me back is the HIKE up mountain!

The second day we went to Alhambra which is another moorish palace. The Arab influence was very evident, and the architecture was beautiful.

While Granada was nice, I preferred Sevilla, but I would be content to live just about anywhere in Spain...except Barcelona! I'm only a bit bitter, because they just beat Madrid in the UEFA Championship a few minutes ago.

-Hasta luego,

                  Asha!
